“How Zero Waste” By Enzo Favoino
Enzo Favoino is a technical expert and researcher working at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza, a not-for-profit research centre based in Northern Italy. He chairs the Scientific Committee of Zero Waste Europe.
He and his team are widely involved in various Countries in scientific and technical issues related to optimisation of schemes for separate collection, definition and implementation of Zero Waste programmes, and for the design and process management in composting and anaerobic digestion.
They have widely contributed to the development of separate collection (with particular regard to biowaste) and composting in Italy, Spain, UK and other EU Countries.
As a researcher he has published influential research over a 25 years period, on waste prevention, seperation and recycling. He has specialised in organic waste and composting. He was one of the founders of the European Compost Network.
