OUT OF TIME In Our Place Part II

An Art Happening

Venue: Eden Place Arts Centre, Pilot’s Row Community Centre Rossville Street

Time; 4pm-6.30pm

As part of Derry’s Annual Human Rights Festival, cultural activist and Zero Waste member Jim Keys along with human rights activist Helen Henderson create themselves as international artists for this ART HAPPENING.  

PART 1 took place in the Guildhall Square on 12th Nov, a cryptic element of the Global Day Of Action for COP 27.  

PART 2 will feature a film exhibit of PART 1 followed by oral contributions from both artists and a Q&A.

The talk will and Q&A will happen from 5pm to 6pm. This will attempt to unbox the meaning of our cryptic offering.  

The work, about the post-colonial consciousness and culture shift emerging across the planet, asks this question: 

‘If governments across the world are incapable of delivering justice for the past, present or future then surely, if there is to be hope, it must rise from the ground. Might this be particularly fertile ground for that?’
