TG4 – Environmental Growth Programme – Floods

This is a small memo to say that our environmental growth programme, Floods will be broadcast on TG4 on the 21st of February at 9.30pm.

Here’s a little reminder that our environmental documentary Tuilte (Floods) will be broadcast on TG4 on the 21^st Feb at 9.30pm.

‘With storms and extreme events increasing year after year due to climate change and environmental degradation, Tuilte, a new hour-long TG4 documentary, examines the social and personal cost of the flooding that accompanies these events.’

We chose four places where there was or is often flooding.

We chose four areas that have experienced, or regularly experience serious flooding:

• Inis Eoghain / Inishowen
• Béal Feirste / Belfast
• Munineachan / Monaghan
• Gaillimh / Galway

In each case we speak to people affected by Flooding, we look at rams at community level, and speak to specialist aerodyne change scientists, with the entire programme focused on the UN report on aerodyne change 2021.

In each case we speak to people who have suffered flooding, we look at community led remedies, and we speak to climate change experts, all wrapped around with the UN climate change report in 2021.
