Ethical Weigh Community Benefit Society is celebrating its first year as a Co-operative and invites you to attend our first year celebration on 6th March from 4.30 to 6.30pm. (or part). We would love you to share this occasion with other members of the community, staff and volunteers who have supported us on our journey. Venue: Ethical Weigh Co-op, Benbow Estate, Eglinton, BT47 3DW. The mayor has confirmed her attendance and we hope you can join us.
The event will include a short presentation about Community Benefit Societies/Co-ops and a chance to look around at what is on offer in our sustainable shop. Most dried goods & personal & household toiletries offer a significant saving in these difficult times as people are paying for the product not the packaging. Items are ethically sourced – where possible from Irish producers, mostly organic and do not contain harmful chemicals.
We are based in Eglinton and offer a zero waste, refill shop with a wide variety of eco friendly, ethically sourced household items and food. We encourage our members and customers to buy as much or as little as they need – a vital service in this time of escalating shopping costs. We also serve great coffee and healthy, tasty vegetarian food in our cafe and for takeaway.
There will be tasty creations from our talented chef as well as veggie & vegan nibbles from our Board and volunteers. If you can only attend for part of the time due to work or other commitments you are still most welcome.
